Small Business on Nob Hill Finds Niche to Succeed in Tough Times

In our first of three business profiles, we focus on the Nob Hill Grille, a small diner doing well despite the gloom and doom of the wider economy.

  1. You guys, this is great! I like the VO edits. The interviews over the counter worked out really well -- radio transmitters are the bomb.

If only more people realized that friendliness really is one of the key and easily providable ingredient (ha!) to success. I hope some people in a certain cafe watch this, maybe they'll learn something.

  2. And Taylor Rogers, you rock! Looking forward to the next installation.

  5. Looking forward to #2 and #3.

I'm going to publish this on Spot.Us soon - and hopefully the community will have ideas for other businesses to look into.

  6. Very well done ... Maybe check in with Green Citizen at 2nd and Howard or some other "green" business to see how they're doing next.

  7. I like the idea of a green business. I'd also be interested in seeing how the smut shops in North Beach or Mission Street are doing. That would be a really interesting comment on the depression and on American mores.

So, how did you use radio transmitters, as indicated above? Did you have the subjects wear a wireless mic?

This was a good profile. Thanks!
