Thank you for doing a report on someone who contributes to this great city not to mention the well-being of our planet consistently, and who generously shares his knowledge with others locally...I am lucky to know Vernon as a neighbor and a friend; he is somewhat of an icon here in the "R.O.B." Great to see him get some public attention and recognition

Another GREAT story from Brent Green. Right ON! I really enjoy learning more about the City & growing things, and would like to see the Green Scene appear on a regular schedule, we could all do with more of the Green Scene. I also think the Green Scene would make FANTASTIC filler material during children's TV programming, you know, the short educational spots they run between cartoons? Our young people should be learning about the interdependency of life on our planet. (Oh, wait.... no, the Green Scene addresses some "adult" plant-themes.... Never mind.)

What up, Fried Man here!
Neighbor and friend of Vernon The Gardener.
Awesome video! Loved how it turned out, very informative, educational, and inspiring.
Vernon The Gardener has his own theme song which didn't make it into the video. Check out the song "Vernon the Gardener" by San Francisco artist Fried Man at his myspace page. http://www.myspace.com/friedmanmusic
Vernon guessed starred on another track by Fried Man. It's called Worm Box, and you guessed it, it's about his worm box. You can listen to Vernon speaking about the worms and the worm box on the track.

Thanks for doing an awesome video about Vernon the Gardener and worm composting. Vernon just hooked me up with my own worms from his MASSIVE wild pile. Now I'm vermicomposting in style at home. It's great that you've spotlighted a member of the community who has so much to contribute socially, environmentally and aesthetically with his sustainable gardening and shovel face art.

Brent, thanks a lot for coming out. Community recycling works. You and your friends can come out any time for earthworm and recycling inspiration.

thanks Brent for the stellar video, you chose the right man to deliver the ancient science and modern practice of vermicomposting. We hope to see more videos of Vernon the Gardener in the future to encourage further education involving environmentally safe and responsible gardening practices. Don't stop recycling or die!

What a great piece! Brent really finds some super interesting folks here in the City. "Vernon the Gardener" was awesome. You could tell he really knew his stuff.....and had the garden to prove it. I think he may be the same "Vern the Gardener" who is the artist who works in metalurgy and is the creator of "Shovelface Art". If so, you should do a piece on that. What an fascinating guy!
Isn't SF the most interesting place to live?

Brent, Thanks for this report!. I've been wanting to learn more about vermicrop and was so delighted to see this. Big thanks to Vernon the Gardener for this much needed educational piece and sharing your knowledge. This could solve so many issues if only more people were educated on this and actually practiced its use. Let's hear more from this expert.
